The Japanese word for the heart: "Kawagoe Toki no Kane" (川負時の钟).
Meaning: The famous "Toki no Kan" (Time Clock) in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. It is a landmark of Kawagoe City and has been used to tell time since the Edo period.
The Japanese inscription on the back reads: "Little Edo Emotions".
Meaning: "Little Edo". Kawagoe City is known as "Little Edo" because it has preserved many street scenes from the Edo period.
