This is wakame, a specialty of Naruto. Naruto wakame is one of the highest quality seaweeds in Japan, characterized by its bright green color and a delicate yet refreshing texture. It is often used in miso soup, salads, and cold dishes.
Japanese text on the back: "ぬめりは栄raise」
「ぬめり」 means slippery. Wakame seaweed has a sticky, slippery layer of natural polysaccharide called fucoidan , which is full of nutrients.
The Japanese saying "ぬめりはhealthyのもと" means slippery Sticky foods are the healthiest.
