【Yukio】Japan Local Series | Kagawa Prefecture Wedding Rice Cake (Afro)

【Yukio】Japan Local Series | Kagawa Prefecture Wedding Rice Cake (Afro)

[Japan In Stock]

The shape introduces the Japanese word for the heart: "アフロおいり".
"Oiri" is a rice cracker served at traditional weddings in Kagawa Prefecture (northern Shikoku). Its vibrant colors (pink, yellow, green, and white) symbolize completeness and happiness. "Afro" means "afro" or "spiky hair." When an Oiri is placed on an ice cream cone, it resembles a brightly colored afro, making it quite adorable.

The Japanese text on the back: "Marry into りおやつ"
It means "dim sum for the bride's wedding".
This echoes the cultural background of Oiri—a celebratory dessert given to relatives and friends when the bride gets married.
