文化小知識
「越のルビー」係福井縣自家培育嘅中型番茄品種（比大粒番茄細，比車厘茄大）。呢個品種嘅命名者係福井縣出身嘅著名作家津村節子，正正因為番茄熟透之後嘅深紅色澤好似紅寶石，先改咗呢個充滿詩意嘅名。
「越のルビー」種植喺日本海沿岸嘅三里浜砂丘地，排水力強，加上福井縣春秋日夜溫差大,令呢種番茄嘅糖度可以去到8度左右,比一般大粒番茄高出3-4度,維他命C同茄紅素含量亦高出約兩倍。因為產季短（分5月尾至7月頭、9月中至10月中兩個小產季），只有喺當造嗰陣先可以喺福井縣內嘅超市、直賣所買到，非常珍貴。
