Shirakawa-go (白川乡) is located in Gifu Prefecture and is famous for its traditional Gassho-style houses. The dark brown body represents thatched-roof houses, and the triangular straw hat worn on the head echoes the Gassho-style house design.
Japanese on the back: "World Heritage"
It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1995.
